Super pretty dress! I really appreciate the drawstring in the front to adjust the neckline, as my shoulders never quite fill out when I order alpha sizing. But very fun design.

I would almost say you could size up but it depends on our comfortability. It is a very fitted dress.
The zipper is hidden on the side and the dress is unlined.
The bust area does have a tie that you can make looser or tighter. There is also darting in the chest area which was a little too small for me but didn't look bad (see photos)
Overall, I love this dress and how it is different from typical Ivy City Co dresses and the pattern is SOOO darling!

I would prefer to rate this a 3.5. It's not my favorite purchase from Ivy City but I do think its cute and had the potential to be a go to dress for me. I knew it was out of my comfort zone when I decided to order it but it wasn't exactly what I was hoping for. I really like that you can cinch the bust of the dress to be tighter or looser and I think that aspect would have also been useful for the waist. If you have insecurities about having a larger waist or belly I would not recommend this dress for you, I personally would prefer it be a bit more flattering. I have worn it out already though, and it is comfortable and cute but for my comfort level, I wish it was less fitted or just fitted a bit different. The material is alright, almost a bit silky/ satiny. It's lightweight but no lining, but the color and print helps to disguise the sheer-ness, I would prefer it be lightly lined, but it's not a deal breaker with this particular dress.

I don't think I've ever written a negative review for Ivy City but I just couldn't understand the Libby dress (thus the confused face). For starters, the tie, when you leave it loose it's too big when you cinch it it looks frumpy. The material is silky like a slip and it actually reminded me of a slip when it was on. It's sheer. The 16 was too tight in the belly/hip area but too big up top. The 16W was too big everywhere. I still like the idea of a navy polka dot dress with lace trim I just think there needed some lining, a different silhouette (more like the mini), and the more thought in the tie area.
