*I got this dress for Easter Sunday and loved the blue color! The smocked nature of the dress makes it an easy choice. I'm celebrating my babies first birthday and I'm still in a season where trying clothes on is really my least favorite thing. The pattern and fit are fantastic! I'm 5'3" so the fit hits nearly like a maxi dress. My only hang up with the dress is that where the tier hits when you sit down is a little unflattering. But the dress is beautiful, comfortable, and versatile. I sized down to a M from my usual XXL. A L would have been my perfect fit.

So glad this one went on sale! I love the 100% Cotton dresses. The cotton is a little stiffer than I had expected, but not at all uncomfortable or itchy. I also like the fact that it is unlined, which makes it perfect for hot weather. It is NOT see-through. The color is so beautiful and the gingham print is timeless! I wear a Large in smocked dresses.

I am absolutely obsessed with this dress and the mission of Ivy City Co. I wanted better quality clothes that are a bit more modest and fit my larger chest better. Love this dress! It is so comfortable, very light when wearing, and can be dressed up or down. It is the perfect blue color and I loved matching with my daughter! I know it says polyester on the website but it does say 100% cotton on the washing label. So I’m hoping it is actually cotton. I guess I’ll find out when I have actually worn this beauty. If you are looking for 100% cotton alternative, they do have a mia design in a madeline silhouette in brown gingham.

I have enjoyed this dress so very much - I first bought it in a medium after my pregnancy because it was one of the few things that was forgiving but also stylish. The smocking is flattering up top, but it does not hug the waist area. I re-ordered in a small once I dropped the baby weight because I love it so much. We took our Christmas vacation photos in our matching mommy-and-me set, and it was so perfect for the beach. For reference: I’m 5’4, 155 lbs and the small works - the medium was perfect when I was in the 175/180 range - it has a lot of stretch.

I was worried this dress would resemble a picnic blanket but once I saw it on and in person, I could not have been more wrong. I have a few Ivy City dresses with this style and I cannot say enough good words about it. It's comfortable, flattering, and easily dressed up or down. Looooove the print, but short is a bit slim in the midsection as compared to Madeline or Basil. Not a flattering look for me :sweat_smile:, but the size up was loose everywhere else :woman-shrugging:. Wish it was just a tad bit more full in the skirt because the color is PERFECT!!

I would have loved to see some slight differences from the Madeline, though, as they're exactly the same cut, and it feels too similar to have both Madelines and both Mias. Maybe flutter sleeves or a different length? Be sure to size down once or even twice, ladies!!
