Ellie Dress in Champagne Chiffon

This dress is flowey and pretty. The champagne color is a pretty taupe color and it is a little shimmery. I am 5'2" and weigh 130. I recently gained 20 pounds, most of it in my middle and my past Ivy City Co xs dresses wouldn't zip. I bought this in s and xs and have plenty of room in the xs. The xs feels slightly tight, but not uncomfortably so and the s is a little too big. It has a pretty good amount of stretch in the top and doesnt make me feel "too small" in the chest like some dresses in this style do. I do feel the waist falls in a strange place since im so short, but I think I can get away with it. It does make me feel a bit "thick" in the waist. I know i am, but not all dresses do that. This one would be good on any size i think, as long as you dont carry most of your weight in your wasit. As I'm petite, the sleeves feel a little "big" on me. The photo of the champagne color is a small. Ypu can see it folds in a strange way in the back, because it is a little too big. I reviewed the blue and show the xs on me.

I now have this dress in two colours: the burgundy and the apricot. This dress can be dressed up or down and it’s super comfortable. I like that you can wear it on or off the shoulder. My only reason for 4 stars is that it’s not as bright as in the pictures. Since the colour is called apricot I was expecting a more bright peach-like colour but it’s actually a sort of muted salmon colour with dusty brownish undertones, if that makes sense. I can see myself wearing this into the fall with a brown belt, boots, and leather jacket rather than spring or early summer. It’s true to my smocked size of XL.
