I saw this on the Shop app and immediately fell in love with the color and floral pattern. I'm not even big on florals and I'm definitely not a ruffle girlie, but I couldn't help myself.
The ruffle is cute! I wore this dress with a sweater to work yesterday and the ruffle does a little float-y ripple when going up and down stairs.
I got a 1X and noticed it was a little loose fitting. Since you can see the material a little bunched up on the model, I assumed that was the look. However, I noticed when I went to scratch the back of my neck during a meeting that the material was nearly giving me a hunchback. I have broad shoulders but this is still a bit big in the shoulder area.
Since I've already worn it, I can't return it, but I adore it so much I'll definitely buy it again and go a size down if it ever goes on sale.
I'm also 5' 4" and thought the length was perfect. I wore with Docs and it's giving such fall vibes. Love it!
