I got this in a small (my size down) initially because of the smocking, the smocked part fit great but the hip tier looked weird.
I repurchased this again in a Medium (my tts) and it fits better in the hips. Stay in your tts would be my advice.

Very cute dress, I just didn’t end up keeping it. The cotton was nice and light. It’s just a little shorter than I’m used to.
