I got this in the mom and the mini matching dress for family Christmas pictures and it looked super cute, but this dress was HEAVY and long and very difficult to walk in. I am 5'7", so not short, and this was still dragging on the ground even in 2" heels. The weight made it impractical to wear to most events and the sizing was really off--it ran very large. It looked oversized in the waist and bust area (I'm sure the weight of the dress pulling down on it didn't help). I am a true size large in Ivy City dresses ( I have 6+ other smocked Ivy City dresses that I feel fit true to size), but this dress felt baggy around the waist instead of the more fitted look that their other smocked dresses have. I would recommend ordering a size down, I didn't have time to return before our Christmas photos, so I chose to keep mine as-is.

The quality of the dress is amazing. There are so many layers to the skirt it made it so full and impactful. I wore it to a fancy restaurant and to see Phantom of the Opera.
It fits true to size and the fabric is really soft and not at all itchy
It is long but with high heels I was able to wear it without getting it hemmed

I own a different Solange and i loved it so much that i got the new too. I feel like this burgundy one is not running as big as the previous but i was still able to size down once and it fits really good.

This dress is stunning! There is so much tulle in the skirt, it can twirl and swish for days. It's just a little too long. It brushes the ground even when I wear hight platform heels.
It fit true to size for me. I got XXS and I'm 5'2" 32/25/35
