Absolutely love this outfit. It's cute and a show stopper. I'm so glad Color Me Courtney featured this piece. I love that the red, pink, and white pattern can work for Valentines, Christmas, and just regular date nights.
The fit is mostly true to size but it is a tiny bit small in the waist area. It fit me but I'm used to buying up for a loose fit and this was not that. I'm a little worried it'll be too small after I wash it. I do appreciate the high waist. I'm 5'6" and it sits just below my bra line, close to the bottom of my ribs. This creates a really lovely silhouette. The legs are a great wide leg that doesn't make you feel like you're swimming in fabric. I can easily wear it with flats or low heels.
The fabric is comfy and lightweight so you can easily wear it year-round. It's 100% cotton and has a linen/guaze kind of texture. I suspect it will get soft with use. I'm already worried about wrinkles but it's nothing a good iron can't sort out. It seems to be thick enough to lay well, even at the collar. I think this is a piece that will last for years if it's taken care of.
I'm not a huge fan of the collar. It juts in and out and feels a bit awkward; plus I'm worried that it will get too wrinkly and need starch. I also wish it had a butterfly sleeves or longer puff sleeves so it wouldn't make me look so wide. But that's an easy tailor fix if I decide to change it. The belt that comes with it is useless so make sure to grab one that will work. Pairs great with gold or…

It was so pretty! I didn’t wear it for Christmas, but I’m saving it for valentines day. It was roomy in the butt though area. And had stretch in the chest. I love the pockets & details of the neckline. It’s so pretty! I’m attaching a video of me trying it on. So it hasn’t been steamed yet or styled. But I’ll add photos when o wear it.
