I bought this dress for myself and daughter unfortunately I will have to return both!! They run small. I usually wear small on regular dresses and xs on smocked ones. This material has no stretch at all!! Still so beautiful, I would of loved to exchange instead of return but medium was sold out!!

This dress is as beautiful as I imagined it to be. The only difficulty for me was that I had to size up from my usual XS to S to have enough room for my bust. In doing so, the collars of the dress are too wide and the sleeves are too long. But I love the dress so much I was not going to give up. In the end, I added a hidden button to close the collars around my neck and shortened the sleeves so they look more fitted. Voila! Now the dress fits like a glove. I really appreciate the ribbon being double sided so it looks good no matter how you tie it.

My new favorite dress!!! I love the details of this dress. The velvet looks pearly in the right light and I love the burnout patterns with the pretty birds. The velvet ribbon is high quality and looks good no matter how you tie it. It was a little stiff at first, but once I steamed it, it was perfect! I would size up in this dress. I got my TTS and it was too tight. But the size up was perfect!

The Delaney silhouette is beautifully unique, but this black and velvet print are a dream! I’m usually a size M/L, and I sized up to a L for the bust. She fits perfectly! She’s as cute with the velvet ribbon as she is without it. Also, the velvet is SUPER high quality and you can just feel it. I love this one!!

I fell in love with this gorgeous dress but when I tried it on it didn't quite fit my proportions right. I am a xxs, yet this dress felt oversized in a few ways. The sleeve length went a bit lower than my elbow, the bust was loose and the waistband was a bit lower than my true waist. I wanted it to be fitted as in the model photos. I can't seem to get myself to return the dress though because it is so beautiful and unique so I'm going to have it altered to fit me better! I love Ivy and have another dress that is velvet and the xxs fits me great.

First let me say I love the concept of this dress. Both colors and patterns are absolutely beautiful. The button front, waistband, puffy sleeves - I just love it all. I have this dress in both colors and I have had similar issues with each. The execution and workmanship is very disappointing. My first white Delaney had to be sent back because the way it was constructed made the dress unwearable. This next one I just received in black is not as bad, but you can see in the photo that the lapel is lurching to one side. It is not sewn on straight. I’m not sure if Ivy City used a different manufacturer for these dresses but now that I have had the same issue with more than one it seems like an ongoing problem. I love Ivy City dresses and my hope is that the QA and manufacturing process will be improved so that super fans like me are not sent products that aren’t made well.

Really pretty dress but absolutely no give at all—little tight in the bust even after paying attention to the measurements. Definitely measure carefully and size up if you’re on the edge.

I am in love with this dress. Its vintage inspired silhouette and wintry color palette are perfectly suited to my style. It’s also a fantastic length, hitting me just below the knee. The only trouble I had was that it gaped a bit at the bust line. I was able to fix it with the help of a safety pin.

I am a size 8 and I bought the M. It fits well in the arms and chest, but it is a little tight in the waist. The fabric is beautiful and I love the velvet neck tie, but maybe order up a size.

So pretty! I would definitely stay true to size. Function buttons but zipper in the back. Buttons on the arms as well. The tie can stay or go. I just love the vintage feel of this dress!

This dress is so pretty in person. I bought the darker color, but was glad I tried it on at the warehouse before leaving. I found that while the arms fit great, it ran pretty small through the chest and waist, and there isn’t much give or stretch. I ended up sizing up 2 sizes so I could sit and breathe more comfortably in it. So I would suggest measuring carefully and likely sizing up, but it’s a pretty and unique dress that’s worth buying.
