This dress (The Penelope) is the same shape as the Noel, in a lighter fabric and obviously a floral print. The peter pan collar makes it feel a little bit young, but it is a beautiful dress with aclassic look. I bought my 2 year old the 2T and am a bit worried it won't work for her due to the tight nature of this particular dresses bodice. I'm planning for us to wear it at a Tea Party Baby Shower at the end of March and praying that it fits her. The small fits well (this fabric has more give than the Noel). I love the length of this dress and a 3/4 sleeve. I'd love to see another version of this dress with a bit more give in the bodice and a boat neck for a retro style.

This is such a lovely dress. A few notes on sizing - I am wearing a small and I am 5'5, 131 pounds and a 34A. I'm pretty pear shaped, but even so, this dress is very fitted through the chest/waist and I am not large chested by any means. There is not a lot of give so I will have to stay this size if I want to wear it come Christmas. I have the same shape in a floral print as well and it fits similarly. The fact that the stripes may not line up might bother you (something I didn't realize until I got the dress, so obviously it didn't matter that much to me) - that was something my grandmother always mentioned to me when sewing a garment with stripes. I hope I manage to lose a few pounds or stay small enough to take Christmas pictures in this dress with my little girl or else I may have to just go ahead and take our 2021 Christmas pictures... in March

it is so so cute but definitely runs small. I would size up. I am usually a small, but this one was really tight. Almost couldn't zip it up.

Bought this lovely dress at the warehouse sale, with matching dresses for my 3 minis. They will be so adorable next Christmas! Lovely classic colors, and the texture of the linen fabric is wonderful. Not a huge fan of the box pleats, but overall it is a wonderful dress.

I sized up at the recommendation of the other reviewers and I think my regular size might have worked, but even though there's extra fabric it's actually difficult to move around because of the stiffness of the fabric. I love the design of this dress, just wish the fit was a little better.

I was very excited about this dress I actually bought it from the online warehouse sale and so why not it was a must..the sizing was a bit off think maybe even a XL would of fit me better I feel it so tight on the waist area but not to the extreme overall I am happy with my purchase.

I was very excited about this dress but the sizing was a little off. I usually order Small or Medium but the medium was still a little tight. So I would recommend sizing up. I think it would fit better if I went up a size. I still love the fabric of the dress though. Hoping to find this dress in a bigger size!

I wore this dress on Christmas Eve! Only down side is that it was a bit shorter on me than I’d have liked, I’m 5’7” for reference.

Pretty dress. Unfortunately, my husband and I had to use teamwork to get the zipper up. I wear an xs in ivycity dresses and this is the first time I’ve had issues with the sizing. This dress is incredibly tight in the bust area but loose everywhere else, as the waistline and arms were even a bit large for me. The material has zero stretch, so I suggest sizing up if you have a curvy shape, then just have the dress tailored to fit appropriately.

Beautiful dress and I wanted to like it so so badly. This was the dress that drew me to this brand. Unfortunately the sizing is so so off and there's absolutely no give or stretch. There are no returns/exchanges as I bought this on sale.

I am usually in between the small and medium, I went with the medium this time and it fit perfect. The length hits me just below the knee and I’m 5’2. The armpits are a little tight not sure if that’s my body type, but I love this dress. The pockets are the best thing ever. Thank you Ivy City!!

Love this dress so much more than I thought I would. As everyone else has said, the sizing is a bit off. If you’re unfamiliar with Ivy City sizes, I feel like (especially for curvy girls) there’s kind of a 3 size range. In smocked dresses I’m comfortably an XL. I’m zipper dresses, I’m a 2XL depending. This dress I needed a 3XL. Some stats about myself, I wear a large to XL in shirts and a 16-18 in jeans. Ivy City definitely runs smaller on curvier girls. I’m excited they’re expanding their sizing.

DO NOT BUY THIS DRESS IF YOU ARE PLUS SIZED!!!!! I bought this dress to match the one I bought for my daughter and since it didn't say with this dress all sales were final I felt relief I was able to send back if it didn't fit. Well don't let the description fool you. There are no returns on ANYTHING ENDING IN .99....so instead of typing on their description like the mini dress and the romper all sales final they just didn't type anything. I explained to them nothing was listed like the other 2 items but won't do anything about it. I ordered a XXXL and the dress is shorter than listed, the neckline is so close to your neck (more than whats pictured), and it just looks super frumpy! Very disappointed with this company and will not order from them ever again!!!!

Such beautiful dress! Size chat is correct, this fabric has no stretch at all. So if you’re in between sizes, size up.

First off the dress is beautiful. However, I listened to other reviewers stating the dress ran small and to size up. I sized up and the dress just barely fits in my chest. The material has absolutely no stretch. If you are larger chested I would size up two sizes. I will not be returning the dress because it does fit but that is why I rated it the way I did.

I love it. I wore it for last Christmas Eve and Christmas family picture. Love the colors and design.

LOVE this dress! I wanted it so badly when it first came out, and then I was able to get it on sale! I am so in love. I’ve received a lot of compliments as an added bonus. It is super slimming on the waist and gives a nice vintage touch. The only thing is that I’m 4’10 and 90 Lbs (I’m 24, so not a child ;) ) so the waist doesn’t hit quite where it’s supposed to. It’s still super cute though and I’ll keep hoping for more petite size dresses!

This is my 4th Ivy City dress and I LOVE this dress! I know the sizing hasn’t worked for others, but the dress fit me PERFECTLY! (I got an XL). Normally I have to get the shoulders altered and the waist taken in because I’m 5’2 but I didn’t have to get any alterations this time. The dress fit like a glove and is even more beautiful in person. So many compliments and zero complaints! Fantastic quality from a wonderful company. I definitely consider myself to be an Ivy City Co regular now! ❤️

When I first saw a preview of this dress I fell in love! I was a little hesitant though when I saw it was made of linen as other pieces linen pieces I've had wrinkle quite easily. Regardless I bought the dress and am so happy I did. The quality of the fabric is very good and wears so nicely. I received a lot of compliments. I did find the sizing to run just a tiny tad smaller than other size small dresses I have ordered from Ivy City. It still fit well but I would suggest if you are between sizes to go up.
