The color of this is beautiful. Purchased for family photos. I probably could have sized down 2 sizes from what I wear in zipper dresses, but the fabric and smocking is so forgiving you could honestly size up or down. It is a looser smocking than on some of the other ivy city dresses.

This review likely shows I have an XXL, but I exchanged for an XL. I likely could have even gone down to a L. The smocking is super forgiving, and this dress is so comfortable! I do have a hard time with the elastic on the shoulder twisting, but it isn't a big deal as long as you have a minute to adjust it every so often.

I had to exchange one dress because it was to large and they were so easy to work with. If you are a mom to daughters, don't think twice. Just do it!
