Our 14 year old daughter fell in love instantly. It’s challenging to find dresses that are long/high enough and age appropriate. She is approaching 5’8 and is typically a size zero in regards to waist, but with her long torso, legs, and swimmer’s shoulders, finding clothes that fit ideally is not a simple task (in tops, she usually wears Larges). Because of her shoulders, she is close to needing to size up to a medium in this dress. This is our first Ivy dress, so it was purely a guess to attempt the small. However, the dress design, the softness of the material, and the twirl factor gives this dress major props. We highly recommend.

Pictures do not do this beautiful blue justice. It’s so lovely and soft in person. I went with true to size, but you may need to size up due to chest measurements. The only downside is the arm openings are pretty big when you raise your arms and may show undergarments.
