This coloring of this dress is so much prettier in real life. I don't have hips so I'd have to get some padded undergarments to help fill in the space to create a better hourglass silhouette.

I’m a sucker for anything velvet. The fabric is great quality and feels good on your skin. This dress is incredibly flattering and the color is even better in person. It was a bit long on me but that was a quick and easy fix.

Nearly Perfect
I'm a sucker for holiday dresses, and Ivy City does some great ones - this one does not disappoint. Fabric is nice and stretchy, and cut is exceptionally flattering with the mermaid skirt and the fitted bodice. Ivy City tends to run small on me, so I usually go with a Medium here; the Med in this is super comfy; could have probably done a small because the fabric is so stretchy, but as I plan on wearing this for Thanksgiving, more room is a good thing. The only thing I take issue with is that the fabric is pretty lightweight velvet; I don't see this lasting very long just due to the lack of quality within the fabric. Other than that, would def recommend.

Gorgeous! I was worried the fabric would feel cheap, but it is NOT at all! It is so soft and thick. I knew it would be super stretchy so I ordered an XL, a size down. I definitely would have even gotten away with a size Large. I recommend sizing down! The fit is super flattering. The length is truly maxi. I am 5'4, so I would need to wear this with at least 2 inch heels!

Sometimes Ivy City really pulls it out of the bag, and this dress is one of those times. Fits my curves perfectly and has stretch for absolute days. The mermaid skirt balances out the tighter bodice shape like a dream. The only thing I would change is the quality of the velvet--feels a little too lightweight to be super durable. Other than that, 10/10

I usually order an XXL, but sized down to an XL. Could have sized down to a Large. There is so much stretch and the form-fitting style is incredible. The length is truly maxi, and I cannot wear this without heels. I am 5'4, it drags without some extra inches. I was afraid the fabric was going to feel cheap, but not at all. It is super elegant and gorgeous - as expected!
