This is the perfect gender reveal or casual dress! The cotton fabric can be a bit heavy but overall the fit is good and you can def size down if you’d like since the smocked top is pretty stretchy!

I loveee this dress. It’s so soft. Normally I size down for smocked so I went to an XS for this one, but when I buy any others in this style I will stay TTS (small), just because I found this style to be a bit more snug than the other smocking I have. You could still size down if you wanted to. I just like it a little bit looser!!! IvyCity has my favorite dresses of all time, and I want all of their smocked dresses in every color they just do it right!!!

Loved this dress for my gender reveal!! I love the sleeves and length of the dress! The smocking makes the sizing very versatile. I would stick to tts or go down if you’re in between sizes but you could size up if that’s all that’s available and it would still fit well from my experience.

It is soooo cute!!!! I typically wear a medium and went with a large and I’m glad I did. It seems like the stretchy part will fit perfect without expanding it too much. That’s just the way I preferred it. It leaves so extra room in case my weight fluctuates a bit, which it does. I’m always between a medium and large. The fabric is thick and nice. It seems like good quality like all of Ivy and city dresses. I keep loving them! I also ordered this for my little one and it runs true to size for her. Overall I can’t wait to wear it!

It’s a thick T-shirt like material, so thick in fact that I wore it to Disneyland, got absolutely drenched on Splash Mountain, and it wasn’t see through at all. I sized down one size because of the looser smocking and it’s perfect!

I loved this dress—the fit is flexible. I normally wear between an 18-22 (just depends on the sizing), and ordered this in a 3X. Very flowey, the wind almost blew my dress up several times, which sounds like a problem, but it felt like I was in a movie; when I twirled the dress would bloom like a flower. I was able to stylet very similarly to one of the models in their photos, and absolutely loved everything about this look.

I love the feel of this cotton candy dress but I feel like the dress I got is mostly white.. I would have loved it more if it was a little more saturated with color like it looks in the photos on the website. Other than that the fit is great and has plenty of stretch. I would love to see more madeleine style dresses with the same cotton material.

I'm in love with this dress. I'm a sucker for pastels and tie dye anyway, and when I saw this dress, I couldn't wait for it to be restocked in my size. I already knew from the Starry Nights dress that smocked styles fit me well at a 1X, so that's what I got. The material is like a stretchy, thick tee-shirt material and drapes so well. This dress is so soft and comfortable. The colors are great. In ivy city smocked dresses I size down a size. In most clothes i wear an XL. In ivy city, i wear an xxl in most zip up dresses and in smocked like this I wear an xL or L. Unfortunately, as a busty gal (36dd), I fill out all the smocking and it fits like an empire waist. This isn’t enough of a deterrent for me to stop buying this style, but it does fit differently than lots of photos of others wearing it. In my smocked dresses that are an xl, it’s the same problem, just even more fabric. I like that this is one of the comfiest and most versatile (can be dressed up or down) ivy city dresses I own. If you have animals, this is like a dog hair magnet. This has not been the case with my other dresses from here. All in all I love it and would purchase it again.
