I bought the 3x and had it tailored. It looks great although I don't recommend if you do the same more than 2 sizes up. It could lose the shape.

It took me a while to purchase this bright red dress being a red head, however I loved it. I love the circle skirt, it's my favorite part. I am 5'2 and a dense 140, I am always right in-between a small and medium, with this dress having no stretch I went with a medium and it was surprisingly pretty snug.

I’m a size small in mostly of the dresses, but I read in the comments that they recommend to size up, so I did! I’m wearing a medium here and when I’m standing up it feels a little big, but when I’m sitting down it feel a little tight above the waist. So yes, definitely size up!!

We also have this in black and love it so much we can't stand it. So we bought the red for Valentine's day photos. I am a photographer and owner of Amanda & Bella Photography in MA. This particular dress material was different than the black. The black was thick satin and was still completely wrinkle-free when we took it out of the garment bag from 6 months ago. The red dress felt thinner and was challenging to steam. I felt the black was better quality and slightly better fit.

I love this dress and had a ton of compliments! The waist is a bit tight when I sit down but comfortable standing up. The color is brilliant and the cuff buttons are a cute touch. Be warned this fabric does wrinkle. Overall I’m very happy with this dress! ♥️

The waist is a bit tight so I sized up. There isn’t any stretch in the waist but there is stretch in the neckline. The material is a nice thick satin so it gives the dress shape.

LOVE this dress! The fabric is really nice and weighty. The skirt falls so beautifully. Though there isn’t a lining, the waistband is completely enclosed and finished on the inside of the dress so it is completely smooth. Note, I did alter (take in) the waist of this size medium, as I needed the size medium for my bust measurement but the waist was too big.

I usually wear a size 1X in Ivy City dresses but this one ran small for me in the waist and upper arms (I have big arms). So I had to go up one size. I normally wear a 12/14 in other dresses. I wore this to church and was stopped non stop with ladies and gents complimenting me on my dress. I paired it with micro fishnet stocking and my black pigalle Christian Louboutin pumps to bring out the pop of red in the dress. Can't wait to wear it again!

According to the chart my niece should be an S/M but the XS fit her perfectly so I always advice to try on in the showroom if possible. Either way it is beautiful I ordered one for myself but although the torso fit, the arms didn't which is a problem I often have with long sleeve clothing.

Make sure you have a steamer on hand the fabric is heavy which is nice but the sheen makes every wrinkle visible. Otherwise it’s a very classic cut and pretty dress. Fits true to size if not slightly small (especially if you have a straight or long torso)

The bust is way too tight on this size small. But if I would’ve sized up to a medium, it would’ve been too big in the waist. The quality of this fabric is excellent for the price, but the fit is slightly off.
