I looked for a dress like this for quite a bit so I was very exited to see it on your website. The fabric (flannel) is soft and light, the colors are perfect. After reading all the comments I decided to go with the size medium. Well if you are like me 5 feet 34 DDD, waist 30", the bust is a little tight. I should have gone with a large to be a little bit more comfortable. The lenght of the skirt falls 6" above my ankle. The dress is adorable, I love it and it will be my favorite dress for the years to come. Hope that it will come back in a different plaid pattern for the next holidays.

This dress was purchased as a wish list item for my wife this Christmas. She was thrilled to receive it and find that it was exactly what she had hoped. She is heavy, but busty, and very curvy. She desires cute more traditionally styled dresses. This often means trouble finding things that are flattering to her figure, fit her well in the bust, and don't leave her looking and feeling too matronly. This dress checks the boxes! The material is very soft with what I would describe, perhaps incorrectly, as a very high thread count and it has a satisfying weight to it; the feeling of quality. It is nothing like the flimsy cheaply made junk out of places around the world and I consider it well worth the price. We will definitely order again in the future.

On my body, the armpits are a bit tight and get uncomfortable after a long wear. I sized down from my normal size medium because of the stretchy smocked top. I saw this and thought it would be perfect for my company’s christmas party. I’m usually a size Small but they didn’t have any left when I ordered so I took a chance and ordered the XS. It fit perfectly because of the smocked bodice. If you have larger arms/bust I would stick to your true size but otherwise you’ll be fine if you get a size smaller.

This is the PERFECT holiday dress!! It’s comfortable, feminine, and looks great in photos (as evidenced by the many reviews accompanied by fabulous photos)! I went on a festive holiday walk today and even though I froze (that’s because nyc is cold, and a wool cost doesn’t much help), I didn’t care, haha, because it was worth the end result! The smocked bodice/waistline means that the fit is quite forgiving (ergo, you can eat, breathe, move, whilst looking cute doing it all)! :)

Overall I really like the dress. Exactly what I wanted. I will say I believe they might have made this batch really quickly for Christmas because I keep finding loose threads or extra strings attached. The dress is made well it is just like the seamstress was in a hurry and didn’t check the dress for neatness or to make sure it looked well before shipping it. The dress is very comfortable with a smart top and I’m an eight and decided to go with the medium. It fits well and I probably could’ve gone small but think that it’s more attractive with the comfortable fitting medium. The sleeves hit right below the elbow and it’s great that the shoulders can be adjusted as more a square neck or slightly off the edge based on where you like it best. The colors on this dress are fun, whimsical, and full of holiday cheer. I’m so glad I got this lesson added it to my festive wardrobe and can’t wait for my next dress in this style.

I haven’t officially worn this yet, but just trying it on made me feel so beautiful. The quality of this material is so nice for the winter. I wear a size medium top (36B) and a size large or 12 in most bottoms. With the stretch, I probably could have gone down to a medium, but the large doesn’t look too big either.

This dress is life. I have been looking (literally) for years for the perfect plaid Christmas dress and this is it. I ordered a 4X according to the size chart measurements (I have a 53in bust and wear a 42G bra. I am currently breastfeeding so my breasts are full/firm) and feared that the dress would be slightly large because of the smocked bodice but the size smaller (3x) was sold out so I went with it. It is slightly big in the bodice and way roomy in the arms (they are supposed to have an oversized look but still just looked too big) but it is so beautiful I decided to keep it anyways. I love the the dress and look forward to wearing it frequently this season. Ivy City Co is the first place I will check for holiday attire next year and I will make sure to do it early!
