I love this beautiful dress! I feel the fit is great in your tts or sizing down one. You can't really go wrong either way but it you want a more secure fit then size down one.

I ordered an L because of the smocking, which was a good choice. I reaaaally wanted to love this dress. I had plans to wear it this fall! But I find it does not flatter me/my figure. My biggest beef with it is the sleeves! I like a subtle puff sleeve, but this one rides up and gets P-U-F-F-Y! I don't like how that looks on my arms. I think it could be resolved if they lengthened the sleeve. Instead of a 2/3rds sleeve, it should be a 3/4th sleeve. But all in all, as comfy as the dress is and as much I wanted to love it...I will be returning it.

I am OBSESSED with this dress!! Not only is it SO BEAUTIFUL and totally my style, but it fits so well and is very comfy!! I love smocked bodices, they are super flattering!! My measurement are 42,38,45 and I am wearing a large. Sorry I don’t have a full body picture but I promise you need this dress in every color!!

I love my Amber Floral Dress! It was my first puff-sleeve dress and made me realize how cute puff-sleeves can be! I was also unsure about the color of the dress since I have brown hair, but the color of this Amber floral is stunning! It is a golden brown, exactly as Ivy City described in the description of this dress! The smocking is lovely, though I do miss the ties at the back. Still, it is such a lovely dress! Love the smocking, silhouette, color, pattern, etc.

Gorgeous blue floral with lots of print! All the colors are really pretty so you can't go wrong :) I did feel like it was a bit more short waisted than I would have liked.

I liked this one! The Amber seems to run a little longer in the smocking than the other Madeline's (to me at least) which is good for bigger busts so it doesn't look as much like an empire waist. Very cute, neutral floral that would go with anything! My favorite color of Madeline.

The color, pattern, material and how it flattered my curves made this easily one of my faves. I loved that it was lined and that it was incredibly comfy to wear.

I love the color because I feel like I can work in this dress and it won’t show the dirt as much I probably could have sized down because of the stretch I was of the bodice, but I’m happy with the fit. Size small, 5’9” and 130lbs.

I can see why literally EVERYONE loves this silhouette. It is comfy, cute and so so forgiving. I love that it doesn’t sacrifice being fashionable with comfort. The material is so soft and dreamy, and I LOVE the lining so it still feels substantial and not cheap. I’m usually an XS but I sized down to an XXS. It fits great but could have stayed to my TTS and it would’ve been fine. For reference, I’m a: 34B, 122lbs and 5’0.

Not my favorite Ivy style I LOVE the Madelines & Basil, but even though this is the same silhouette, mine had MUCH less fabric in the midsection. I measured the sane size Basil and Mads, and the Amber is far slimmer. I carry weight in my midsection, so sadly it just wasn't a flattering look for me :pensive:. The print is darling, though!

My favorite Ivy City Smocked Dress! Out of all the smocked dresses I have gotten from Ivy City, this one is my favorite! Since I am brunette I was originally worried that the brown color would clash and not work for me, but that was not the case! It is the most lovely shade of brown. Ivy City was right when they said that this dress is a shade of golden brown. I also got the matching Little Poppy bows for my daughters and my girls love them! Such a sweet little added matching touch. I am usually a size medium and preferred the medium in this dress instead of sizing down to a small. If I went any smaller this dress would be more of an empire waist fit, which I wouldn't prefer. So, this is why I stuck with the medium! Such a beautiful dress!

The sleeves are soo puffy on this girl, it just didn't look super flattering on my body. I also think it's a little snugger than the Starry Nights and Midsummer Day dress which I didn't realize.

I bought this dress and it was so flattering I bought the same style dress in the Basil color too! Wore to a wedding, doing our holiday pics in it and could also be dressed down for everyday use. I’m curvy and large chested & this dress is FLATTERING. 10/10

I’ll start by saying, I am more than happy to pay $100+ for a quality dress. Unfortunately I just don’t think this dress is worth the cost. It seems like the fabric is cheap. The floral design is printed instead of woven and the feel of it is simply put, disappointing. If this dress was priced at like $60 I may feel like it was more worth the cost. I read similar reviews but I thought maybe people we being over judgmental since the photos are so nice. Now, I understand.

Love this dress! I would say the material is a thicker type of cotton compared to Madeline. Smocking is also a bit tighter but I personally prefer it as it’s more flattering in my opinion and I was still able to size down. This is a perfect fall dress.

The only reason that I did not give this dress 5 stars is that the print on the neckline is slightly crooked, but only noticeable if you look at it closely.
