We are so excited to introduce our collaboration with Leena Snoubar! She is a mother & a modest fashion icon. Leena has a heart gold & excellent taste. We know you’ll love the dresses we’ve dreamt up together. With Ramadan right around the corner, we wanted these gorgeous modest dresses to launch right in time! Before we release Leena's stunning styles we wanted you to get to know her a little better through this Q&A with Leena herself.
“This collection means so much to me! Ever since I had my daughter I have always loved the idea of wearing matching dresses, but it was so hard to find ones that met my modesty standards. "I have been such a huge fan of Ivy City for so many years! When I had my daughter, I loved the idea of being able to wear matching dresses, but it was so hard to find modest options! I hope women who choose to dress modestly can feel beautiful and confident in these pieces, and I love that they will be able to share that with their daughters!"
Will you describe your inspiration for this dress design & share about the details of your dress?
"The Leena Dress - I wanted a go-to dress that I could reach for year after year that was comfortable, flattering & classic and I think this is exactly that! The sage color will flatter so many skin tones and I can envision this being worn year-round! The stretchy bodice also allows more room for a bump if you’re expecting, which I love!
The Alaina Dress - I wanted a dress that was feminine with a floaty silhouette and I love how this dress turned out. It is timeless and elegant and the light rose color will flatter so many skin tones! I can envision this dress being worn to so many occasions, from weddings to beach vacations! I also love that the buttons make this one breastfeeding friendly!
The Noor Dress - I wanted to create my perfect boho, white maxi dress for spring/summer events and vacations! It is so hard to find white dresses that are fully lined and I’m so happy you don’t have to worry about layering with this one! The waist line is higher so this dress is bump-friendly!"
As a mom, what is the most important thing you want to teach your kids?
"One of the most important things I want my daughter to learn is confidence. To me, confidence is something you have to instill & help your child practice, it’s not something we are born with. I hope she can grow into a confident woman who always does what she thinks is right regardless of what others might think."
